Pricing
Simple, transparent fees
Our ticketing stack keeps a small platform fee on paid sales so we can run payouts, fraud prevention, receipts, and support. Free tickets stay free. Below is how money flows — and how ambassadors earn when they help grow the ecosystem.
Paid ticket sales
When someone buys a paid ticket, we deduct a platform fee from the gross sale before the organizer's share is settled for payout. Payment processor costs may also apply depending on your payment method and region — those are charged by the provider, not hidden by us.
4%
Applied to the gross ticket payment amount for paid events (aligned with our payment processing pipeline). The exact fee shown to you at publish/checkout may vary slightly by currency or experiment — always confirm on your organizer dashboard before going live.
Illustrative only — use your dashboard for live numbers.
- Ticket paid by attendee₦10,000.00
- Platform fee (4%)₦400.00
- Organizer share (before processor fees)₦9,600.00
Payouts. Earnings become eligible for withdrawal after our settlement window (shown in your organizer wallet). This helps cover refunds, chargebacks, and reconciliation.
Free events
Hosting a free RSVP-style event? There's no ticket revenue, so there's no percentage platform fee on ticket price. You still get listing, updates, and check-in tools so communities can gather without friction.
Ambassador rewards
Ambassadors help organizers discover Tixdorm and promote paid events. Ticket commissions apply only to checkouts through an ambassador's affiliate link on events where the organizer enabled ambassador selling — that catalog is open to any ambassador, not only the organizer's referrer. Rewards depend on the program — two common paths:
Organizer referrals
When an organizer signs up with your referral and runs paid ticket sales, you can earn a revenue share on the platform fee from those transactions (our systems default to sharing on the order of 20% of the platform fee — subject to program rules). Qualifying accounts may also receive a one-time activation bonus when their activity meets the criteria we publish inside the ambassador dashboard.
Event promotion links
For paid events across the platform, the organizer must opt each event in to ambassador selling and set a rate. Any ambassador can earn on ticket sales completed through their own affiliate link — you do not need to have referred that organizer. Commission is calculated from the gross ticket amount and accrues in your balance by currency. Organizers can configure rates up to a high ceiling (e.g. 50% of the ticket payment in basis points) — the exact percentage is always under the organizer's control for each event.
Payout thresholds and schedules appear in your ambassador dashboard. Nothing here overrides the Terms of Service.
Vendors & services
Creating a vendor profile and appearing in the directory is designed to be accessible. Commercial terms for your services are between you and the organizer — we provide discovery, messaging, and workflow around requests and bookings. If we introduce optional paid placements or add-ons later, we'll publish those fees clearly before you opt in.
